El Maestro Immersion Academy

El Maestro Immersion Academy

"El Maestro" refers to the greatest "Teacher" of all, Jesus of Nazareth, who taught with love and patience, always respecting each individual's agency.

Our three goals are:

  • Love God and our neighbor, as we love ourselves
  • Communicate effectively in Spanish and English
  • Achieve academic excellence in both English and Spanish

Goal #1 Love God and neighbors, as one's self

Every human being was created in the image of God. All children, adolescents and adults are His creations and have an infinite value. We strive to increase our gratitude for His creations, including our challenges so that we develop and convert them into strengths or talents. We show our love for Him recognizing this and by serving other, because He loves them as well, because they too are His children.

Goal #2 Communicate effectively in Spanish and English

Jesus of Nazareth grew up speaking Aramaic, the local language. However, the language used in the synagogues was Hebrew, and the language many foreign immigrants spoke was Greek. The political power during the time was wielded by the Romans, who spoke Latin. By that same token, we should respect our native language and at the same time, learn other dominant languages where we live, beginning with Spanish and English.
